Introduction

At present, organizations which provide services for the visually impaired institutions mainly located in Kowloon which is not convenient for visually impaired people on Hong Kong Island receiving services. Therefore, we, visually impaired people on Hong Kong Island, set up an organization named "Care the Visually Impaired" to provide services for Hong Kong Island people with visual impairment, especially services for personal needs. Care the Visually Impaired was established on the 1st, March, 1998 and registered with the Societies Office to become a non profit making voluntary service.

Aim

1. To liaise with the visually impaired who live in HK Island for mutual help and support; 2. To provide personal services & recreational activities for visually imparied; 3. To give advice about education, employment and social security for the visually impaired; 4. To provide updated information for the visually impaired to prevent being blilnd and organize health promotion activities.
